Use and Care
1. First Time Use
- Wash Thoroughly: Before using your VodaTank for the first time, wash it with warm water and mild dish soap. Use a bottle brush to clean the interior thoroughly.
- Sanitize: To ensure cleanliness, you can sanitize it by filling it with boiling water and letting it sit for 10-15 minutes, then emptying and rinsing. Avoid boiling the bottle directly. CAUTION: beware of burns as VodaTank isn’t insulated!
- Check for Seals: Inspect the cap and silicone seal to ensure they are intact and properly fitted
2. Day-to-Day Usage
- Daily Cleaning: Rinse VodaTank with warm water after each use, especially if you’ve used it for beverages other than water.
- Deep Clean Regularly: At least once a month, wash the bottle with a bottle brush and mild soap. For stubborn odors or stains, use a mixture of baking soda and water or white vinegar. Let it sit for a while, then rinse thoroughly.
- Dry Properly: After washing, air-dry the bottle upside down with the cap off to prevent moisture buildup and odors
- Avoid Overfilling: Leave a small gap at the top to allow for secure sealing and pressure adjustments, especially for carbonated beverages.
3. Things to Avoid
- Hot Liquids: VodaTank isn’t insulated, while the bottle is capable for holding hot water, please do not fill it with hot liquids to prevent burns when handling it.
- Harsh Chemicals: Do not use bleach, chlorine, or abrasive cleaners, as they can damage VodaTank's finish.
- Dishwasher: Avoid putting VodaTank in the dishwasher. High heat and detergents can degrade seals and finishes over time.
- Freezer: Avoid freezing VodaTank, as liquid expansion could damage its structure or the seals.
- Microwave: Never put VodaTank in the microwave. Stainless steel is not microwave-safe and can cause damage to the appliance and the bottle.
- Impact Damage: Try not to drop VodaTank, as dents can affect its appearance.
- Long-Term Storage Without Cleaning: Don’t leave beverages, especially sugary or acidic drinks, in VodaTank for extended periods. They can cause odors, stains, or corrosion.
4. Pro Tips for Longevity
- Replace Seals When Needed: Over time, silicone seal may wear out. Replace them to maintain leak-proof performance.
